English: Map of South Africa divided into "Main Places" from Census 2001. (Each main place is represented by an SVG <g> with id set to the MP_ID, to allow easy colouring of the map.) Projection is Albers Equal-Area Conic, with standard parallels at 25.5° S and 31.5° S, and origin at 28.5° S 25.5° E.

Source Statistics South Africa's Census 2001 is the source of the main place boundaries. The map itself results from my own processing of the boundaries.
