Summary

Description
English: Up a path from the derelict Golden Lion Inn is this place. The Cannon Hill Sons of Rest.

It was built in 1937.

Seems like it was a members club. You could play donimoes and snooker here and have light refreshments.

The Sons of Rest movement began in 1927, when a group of 'Industrial Veterans' met at Handsworth Park. The first purpose building was built in 1930 and the movement expanded to over 3000 members in 29 parks. At Cannon Hill members meet to socialise and play games such as snooker and dominoes. It was open to retired gentlemen.
