Original file(2,908 × 1,692 pixels, file size: 395 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
English: Illustration of the theropod dinosaur Sinosauropteryx, a close relative to Compsognathus. Here depicted with feathers (although professorTheagarten Lingham-Soliar's working in University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban has discovered that the fossilized "feathers" are maybe just remains of collagen). The color pattern is based on a new discovery of possible color combinations, see http://dinogoss.blogspot.com/2009/08/colour-and-shape.html.
