DescriptionSign at Main Street at Burroughs Drive, Amherst, New York - 20200708.jpg
English: As seen in July 2020: the ornamental sign at the corner of Main Street and Burroughs Drive in Amherst, New York - along with two other similar signs at the corners of Audubon Drive and Burbank Drive as well as the stone entranceways at the corners of many other side streets off Main in the same area - were erected in the 1920s, and with their pastoral artistic themes were intended to furnish the Audubon Terrace subdivision, as it was then called, with a countrified yet distinguished air. They have been well preserved and are now designated historic properties of the Town of Amherst.
