Seen directly behind the pedestrian bridge is the northbound departure yard, which swings around to the right, behind the yardmaster tower. At the extreme left is the exit end of the classification yard. Blocks of cars are pulled out of the classification yard to one of the yard lead tracks, shown in the foreground, and then to one of the departure yards, for assembly into trains. The two tracks on the extreme right (just in front of the tower) lead to a local interchange yard. |
