One building of the San Diego Barracks, also called New San Diego Barracks. Was an US Army quartermaster depot set up by by Captain Nathaniel Lyon, with the 2nd U.S. Infantry, in 18551. The depot supported Southern California forts, stations and posts with military supplies. The depot closed in December 15, 1921, when the depot moved to Fort Rosecrans. |
