Summary

Description

1905 tinted postcard of St Bartholomew's church, Armley, West Yorkshire, England (on the right in the picture). Designed by Henry Walker and Joseph Althron, and consecrated in 1877. As of 2016 this card still bears some of its original glitter decoration. Postmarked 1905.

The church on the left is the previously-existing chapel which was demolished in 1909. That old chapel was re-decorated in 1862 and that decoration included stone carving by Mawer & Ingle.
