This shot of the rare swallotail was shot at Pakkke Tiger Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh in the year 2008,that was my first trip to Northeast accompanied by my wife Seena. We had a wonderful time in NE that year. The day was cloudy and this was the only butterfly in the puddle on the riverside.I was practicing some flight shots .The butterfly was ignored till date thinking it as a striped crow!
In 2011 april photographed the beauty again among a dozen species of swallowtail in South Garohills , Only to spot the butterfly in the photographs a few weeks later
could be the first shot of the butterfly on Indian soil!
