Summary

Description

English: Small submarine (toy) being tested in a water rich in phytoplankton and thus saturated with oxygen during the day. Bubbles are spontaneously formed (nucleation) on the hull. The upper part has been cleaned when the machine was emerging several times at the surface, but the bubbles persist in the lower part of the hull. If such bubbles are on a camera system or embedded image system, they degrade the image quality. 2) The two thumbnails (on the left) show the machine quickly trapped in a "carpet" of small (short) filamentous algae when the submarine was placed on the bottom. (< = tangled propellers).
