English: The Russian navy anti-submarine ship Severomorsk (BPK 619) sails with the U.S. 6th Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC/JCC 20) during a joint exercise between the Russian and United States navies July 19. Mount Whitney is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
Deutsch: U-Boot Jäger, Kreuzer Seweromorsk (BPK 619) der Udaloy-Klasse gehört zur Russischen Nordflotte: im Dienst seit 1987. Namenspatron ist die russische Stadt Seweromorsk (russisch Североморск) ihren mit 50.060 Einwohnern (Stand 14. Oktober 2010) in der Oblast Murmansk im äußersten Norden des europäischen Teils Russlands. Sie liegt in der Nähe der Grenze zu Norwegen, nahe am Arktischen Ozean und an der Barentssee. Hier befindet sich auch das Hauptquatier der Russischen Nordflotte.
