In the Old Kalevala (1835) an eagle lays an egg on Väinämöinen’s knee. In the standard New Kalevala (1849) a goldeneye lays an egg on the knee of Ilmatar.

Notes Ateneum describes “marker” as the technique used on paper but markers were invented in the 20th century. Ateneum describes marker as the medium for a lot of works and I have no idea what they mean by it. It looks like pencil on paper.
