Summary

At upper left (NW) is the bed of Glacial Lake Agassiz surrounded on three sides by the U-shaped Big Stone Moraine. The outflow from Lake Agassiz cut a spillway through the moraine at Traverse Gap and became River Warren. The river's channel and its direction of flow cross the image from west to east.
