Summary

Description

The main reason for the visit to Stratford-upon-Avon was to see the newly restored lead statue of William Shakespeare, donated by David Garrick in 1769 to the town.

The newly cleaned statue was unveiled on Shakespeare's birthday on the 23rd April 2022 by Shakespearian actors Dame Judi Dench and Sir Kenneth Branagh.

The Town Hall is Grade II* listed.
