Description
English: Epigraphic Museum of Athens EM 6602 IG I3 104. The Draco Law was issued in 409/8 BC during the reforms that took place after the fall of oligarchical regime of the Four Hundred in 411 BC. Drakon was the first lawyer and the author of the first penal code of Athens (621/620 BC). The law referred to unintentional homicide , to homicide of a person already condemned for the same crime and to justifiable homicide in self-defense.
