Description
Portrait of a young man by Rembrandt dated 1634 with signature confirmed as authentic, originally diplayed at the Palace on the Water in Warsaw. The painting was bought in 1779 for the collection of King Stanisław August Poniatowski. Seized by Nazi Germany in World War II, it was offered as gift to Hans Frank in occupied Krakow. Recovered. At present, at the National Gallery in Warsaw.
