x-repair:Visit to RAF Leuchars by six representatives from Selex Galileo on the 4th February 2010. The purpose of the visit was as part of Air Officer Scotlands engagement strategy to facilitate wider public understanding of the Armed Forces. The visitors participated in various activities including using the DCCT range at the regiment flight where they used a SA80 rifle used by military personnel. They also observed a convoy and ambush in the training area on camp. As well as using the Tornado simulator two members of the group (Ms Gordon, Mr Simeon) had flight with the university Air squadron. The visit was finished with a demonstration of the fire fighting abilitys on camp, a visit to the Quick Reaction Alert area (QRA) and also the unveiling of a Selex plaque. For further information please contactStn Media Communications OfficerRAF Leuchars01334 857700
