Florece entre los meses de noviembre y enero. Ampliamente extendido en Chile, especialmente en la zona costera de la V y IV Región (Vaparaíso y Coquimbo).
English: Flower of the Puya venusta, a species in the Bromeliaceae family; local name: chagual (chico). It can be found in Chile, particulary in the coastal areas of Regions Valparaíso and Coquimbo. The stalk is eatable. It is in flower yearly, from November to January.
