Vorderseite - Da es in Ägypten keine Marmorvorkommen gab, musste der Stein importiert werden. Häufig wurden deshalb nur Teile der Bildwerke daraus gefertigt, der Rest in anderen Materialen ergänzt. Durch die damals übliche Bemalung der Skulpturen konnten die Unterschiede kaschiert werden. Dieses Porträt einer Ptolemaierin ist ein typisches Beispiel für die Anstückungstechnik: Bis auf die Gesichtspartie und den Ansatz der Haare war die Plastik in Stuck gestaltet. Angeblich wurde der Kopf mit dem Goldohrring im rechten Ohrläppchen gefunden. . Der Kopf stammt aus der Sammlung Ernst von Sieglin.
