English: A radial thin section of the Protocupressinoxylon dockumense (syn Voltzioxylon dockumense) holotype wood. "Fig. 1.- Transverse section. This figure is introduced to show the condition of much of the Triassic lignite. The tracheids are seen to be crushed flat, and their lumina blocked with resinous matter."
