Summary

Description
English: The British Army ordered 327 of the 40 HP petrol 'tractors' of three types ("open", "protected" and "armoured") for the 60cm gauge light railway serving the front line during WW1 in France, with another 749 of the smaller "open" 20hp petrol tractors. Additionally, 931 steam locomotives of various types were ordered, some not being delivered until after the war was over.
