Summary

Description
English: Cast of a fossil Preondactylus buffarinii, one of the earliest pterosaurs. On display as part of the exhibit "Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs" at the Cleveland Natural History Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. This fossil was found in the Rio Seazza Valley in Italy. It dates to about 220 million years ago, and is held by the Friuli Natural History Museum. Most of what is left are impressions in the rock, as the fossil skeleton itself disintegrated when released from the rock.
