Description The Twin Cities Zephyr, approaching Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin station in 1970. This is the train set introduced in 1947, with at least four Vista-Dome cars and a separate diesel locomotive. It ran from Chicago to Minneapolis-St. Paul. The Twin Cities Zephyr was taken out of service when Amtrak took over most railroad passenger operations in 1971.
