Description
English: Overview of the Portland Wharf Park in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The photo is taken at the elevation of the 1937 flood level — at the peak of the Great Flood of 1937, the spot occupied by the camera was at the surface of the water. Here was the earliest settlement in the community of Portland, and as such, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an archaeological site.
