English: The establishment of the Grey Institute is closely associated with the introduction of organised education in the Cape Province under the administration of Sir George Grey. The buildings of the Grey Institute are in the neo-Gothic style. They were recently very carefully and sensitively restored by the current owners, the Mediterranean Shipping company
