English: A transverse thin section of the Podocarpoxylon washingtonense holotype wood. "Fig. 12- Transverse section. Portions of three annual rings are shown. The characteristic large, resinous, parenchyma cells scattered through the crushed wood are evident, as are also the strongly differentiated zones of spring and summer wood."
