The analog-to-digtial and digital-to-analog converters appear to be 4-bit, using designations "S" for "sign bit", "1" for the least-significant bit, "2" for the next significant bit, and "4" for the next significant bit. The entire top half of the figure is (arguably) a delta-sigma modulator. |
