Until around the 1950s at least, this was a pub. Now a takeaway cafe on Berwick Street (one of many cafes that have been on this site), serving pastry-based foods (as you might expect) such as pies, sausage rolls and the like, alongside baguettes and soup. The pies are pretty decent, actually and it's not bad value, but like the many outlets before it, it's since closed. (Photo of pie and mash takeaway.)
