DescriptionPaddle wheel and aft of the Portland (1947 steam tug) in mid-river, 2012.jpg
The paddle wheel and aft section of the historic steam tug Portland, a 1947 sternwheeler based in Portland, Oregon, United States. The tugboat is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). It serves as the home of the Oregon Maritime Museum, but is fully operable and occasionally makes excursions. At the time of this photo, it was in the middle of the Willamette River just south of the Burnside Bridge, in Portland, maneuvering towards its dock next to Waterfront Park at the end of a cruise to St. Helens, Oregon.
