Hood County, Texas, USA 8 December 2007 Mistletoe is a hemiparasite (parasitic, but also partially autotrophic) that can be found living on a variety of tree species in north central Texas. Sugarberry trees (Celtis spp.), elms (Ulmus spp.), mesquite and horseapple (Maclura pomifera) all play host.
