English: Pauatahanui wetlands are a nationally important wetlands located at the end of Porirua Harbour, New Zealand. The largest wetlands in the lower North island they are home to a large range of species. A collaboration between the Department of Conservation, local volunteers and the Forest & Bird Society helps protect the wetland from introduced predators and weeds through an extensive predator bait station programme and armies of volunteer weeders.
