Summary

Description Aerial image of Orfordness radio transmitting station. A disused facility at Orford Ness on the Suffolk coast in the UK. It closed in May 2012 after more than 30 years of service. Before that, it was the site of the U.S. Cobra radar Project - an Anglo-American Cold War collaboration and was the largest radar facility in the world.
