Summary

Description
English: Pictured is a Mobile Air Ops Team (MAOT) from Joint Helicopter Support Squadron (JHSS) deployed on Op Newcombe. They are signalling to a Chinook crew that the load is ready for pick up, holding a static probe which is used to discharge the static electricity created by the rotor blades before the load can be safely hooked. MINUSMA is the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation mission in Mali. Established in 2013, the mission was asked to support the transitional authorities of Mali in the stabilisation of the country. Op Newcombe is the UK commitment to that mission.
