DescriptionOconaluftee Ranger Station (Oconaluftee Administration Building), Cherokee, NC.jpg
English: This is the former Oconaluftee Ranger Station, which was described and photographed in the National Register Nomination Form that can be found on the National Park Service website. The building was constructed between 1938 and 1940 as the original Oconaluftee Ranger Station at Oconaluftee, just outside Cherokee, North Carolina in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The building became the Oconaluftee Administration Building after a new ranger station was constructed in 1959. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, as it is one of the most intact original buildings at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
