DescriptionOak Apple Day in Worcester - geograph.org.uk - 822029.jpg
English: Oak Apple Day in Worcester Oak Apple Day is 29th May, the birthday of Charles II, born in 1630, it is also the date in 1660 of the Restoration when Charles II became king after his years in exile after his father, Charles I's execution in 1649. Each year Oak Apple Day is commemorated in Worcester, the 'Faithful City', by decorating the entrance gate to Worcester's Guildhall with oak branches and leaves.
