The Barrington Woolen Mill was a local concern back in the 1800s when fishermen needed warm and durable wool clothing. The mill, powered by a water turbine, took over the time-consuming chores of washing, picking, carding, spinning, dyeing and weaving wool. Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada
