While numerous photographs of Nathan L. Whetten exist, none are in the public domain or can be released into the public domain by living copyright owners, as the subject died almost forty years ago. This is the oldest photograph (dating from 1955 if not earlier) that I was able to locate online.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) This is a single, low-resolution image obtained via screenshot from a 316-page publication and used only once in the biography of the photograph's subject. Use of the file is minimal.
