DescriptionNFTA Metro Rail train parked at former DL&W terminal, Buffalo, New York - 20210325.jpg
English: An inbound NFTA Metro Rail train pulls into the Rail Maintenance Yard for service. Located in what was once the train shed behind the now-demolished Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad terminal on South Park Avenue, the bottom of the two-level building contains sheds used to store out-of-service trains, while the upper level, which once contained additional tracks and platforms, is now mostly unused save for a train operators' lounge and some office space. The latter is currently the object of redevelopment efforts planned to include retail space, restaurants, and public pedestrian access to the Shoreline Trail greenway. It will also contain a new Metro Rail station. At right across South Park Avenue is the back of the KeyBank Center, and in the distance up ahead is the Buffalo Skyway.
