Summary

Description
English: The Muybridge race horse GIF animation modified to dramatically reduce the kB size, making it much more portable for the internet. I made 4 versions. A 300x200 64.5 kB GIF with a red background, a 300x200 64.5 kB GIF with a transparent background, a 203x135 47.0 kB GIF with a red background and a 203x135 47.0 kB GIF with a transparent background. I wanted to load all 4 animations onto one Wikimedia page, but unfortunately don't know how. So I uploaded the 4 animations into 4 separate Wikimedia pages.

This famous race horse sequence by Eadweard Muybridge (1830 - 1904), produced with 12 cameras (in 1878), settled the argument whether there was a moment in the horse's gait when all four hooves were off the ground.
