"Morning after", by Erik Pevernagie, oil on canvas, 88 x 66 cm x
Life is a comprehension of experiences, and the vagaries of our emotions guide us through the ramblings of our distinct journeys and the backwoods of our destiny.
Love is priceless experiential learning that can breathe life into a story that does not show us as glorious heroes or unsatiable egos but as patient and expectant partners.
If we only see things through the cold-eyed lens of factuality and don't listen to the yearning and screaming of unexpressed feelings, life may remain bleak in a mire of clinical hollowness, sodden in apathy and indifference.
Perception is interpretation. What we see is what is in our imagination. Sometimes we 'see' what we want to see.
A "morning after" confrontation with a harsh reality can be painful and destroy erroneous personal experiences. Today may be beautiful. Tomorrow may be a day with different shades or a time of regret.
When perception, thoughtfulness, and understanding do meet, we can fashion a realm of viable expectations and craft a world of togetherness.
Phenomenon'': Perception and interpretation -

Français : La perception est une interprétation. Ce que nous voyons se trouve dans notre imagination. Parfois, nous voyons ce que nous voulons bien voir.
Nederlands: Perceptie is interpretatie. Wat we waarnemen is wat in onze verbeelding aanwezig is. We kunnen zien we wat we willen zien.
