English: There were once tracks on both sides of the Sydney Harbour bridge... both were intended to carry trains but one side carried trams instead. Where the trains went underground to Wynyard Station, the trams paralleled that and went to their own underground platforms. Similarly there were platforms on the North Sydney side of the bridge, opposite the current Milson's Point train station, and you can still see where the old bridge masonry stops suddenly and is replaced by modern road connections. The trams once swung over the central roadway from the tram station via a bridge that connected with what today is a car park that just ends "in space".
