English: Em laranja barragens de rejeito e áreas de extração de bauxita da Mineração Rio do Norte (MRN), dentro da Floresta Nacional de Saracá-Taquera. Floresta amazônica em verde escuro. Maior produtora de bauxita do Brasil, a MRN extrai toda a sua produção de 18 milhões de toneladas por ano de bauxita da Flona; criada em 1989 pelo Decreto 98.704, que autoriza a continuidade das atividades minerais, ocorrendo desde 1979. A Norsk Hydro conta com 5 por cento de participação na MRN, mas a empresa tem um acordo de assumir 40 por cento da bauxita da Vale destas operações. A matéria prima é transportada por navio para a Hydro Alunorte, em Barcarena, Pará / In orange Mineração Rio do Norte ( MRN) bauxite mining areas and tailings dams, inside Brazilian Saracá-Taquera National Forest. Amazon tropical rain forest in dark green. Largest Brazilian bauxite producer, MRN mines all its ore production, 18 million tons a year, legally,from this forest. Norsk Hydro owns 5% of MRN, but has an agreement with Vale to get 40% of its bauxite there. Ore goes by boat to Hydro Alunorte, at Barcarena, Pará.
