English: Mine Engine House near Medlyn. Woodland at the bottom of valleys is common in Cornwall as the ground is often too wet to farm, however this woodland also surrounds the derelict mine engine. Another reason for woodland in Cornwall is that the ground is too contaminated with mine waste to farm. |
