Summary

Description
English: Section of a block of thermocol, under Light microscope (Bright-field, objective= 10X, eye piece= 15X). The 4 huge spherical things towards periferi, are thermocol-balls (that were compressed and fused into the block) . The large, bright, star-shaped hole at the center of the image, is an air-gap at the intermediate position of several adjascent balls, where the margin of the balls not properly fused. The many, tiny, polyhedral, slightly-irregular objects (looking like tissue-cells) tightly packed inside each large ball, are small air-bubbles with the wall of the bubble made-up of plastic (polystyrene).
