"THIS TABLET IS INSCRIBED IN MEMORY OF THE
REV. MICHAEL MOORE DD
AT ONE TIME HEAD OF THIS COLLEGE BY WHOSE EXERTIONS THE LIBRARY
AND ITS MANUSCRIPTS WERE SAVED FROM DESTRUCTION WHEN THE COLLEGE WAS
OCCUPIED BY MILITARY FORCES IN 1689. LATER HE BECAME RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PARIS, DIED IN PARIS IN THE YEAR 1726. AND WAS BURIED IN THE CHAPEL OF THE IRISH COLLEGE IN PARIS."
