Description

Per the plaque: Mercure by Pablo Picasso. The tapestry is an artist-authorized reproduction of a theater curtain painted by Pablo Picasso for the ballet Mercure. The work was specially commissioned for the main lobby at 1251, and woven in Provence. The original hangs in the Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris.
