Description
English: Medieval ceramic pitcher handle in Salisbury-Poole Harbour ware, probably from Laverstock, of 12th to 15th century date. Pale buff fabric with pink-orange surface and abundent coarse sand temper up to 0.75mm which protrudes on surface. the handle is oval in section with slightly flattened outer side, rilled at one end with three grooves with raised angular ribs between them and to sides and with a central indent at the other. 77.7mm long, 27.4 by 16.2 at rilled end, 21.2mm by 20.4mm at centre, 46.93 grams.
