English: Maxwell-Abreu House, home of Lucien Maxwell, friend and associate of Kit Carson, and inheritor of the largest land grant in American history (now the property of the Philmont Scout Ranch). Maxwell moved to nearby Cimarron in the late1850s and left the house to Jesus Abreu.
