Description
English: The bog "Maujahn" in Germany. It has been developed in a caving-in over a salt dome.
Deutsch: Das Kesselmoor Maujahn, das sich in einem Erdfall über einem Salzstock gebildet hat. Die hochmoortypische Vegetation wird unter anderem von Scheiden-Wollgras (Eriophorum vaginatum) bestimmt. Im Hintergrund erkennt man zwischen den Bäumen die obere Abbruchkante des Erdfalls. Die Kiefern in der Mitte der Moorfläche dürften schon sehr alt sein, wachsen aber nur zwergenhaft.
