Description

Masque en os,hauteur 7 cm,origine himalayenne(Tibet?),époque inconnue.Il est percé de deux trous,sans doute pour être cousu;le visage porte le 3ème oeil et arbore en couronne les 5 crânes qui représentent les principales illusions à dépasser pour atteindre l'illumination.Ces masques ont,autant que je sache,une fonction protectrice. Image détourée et optimisée avec Photoshop. Auteur:Vassil. This piece most probably part of a ceremonial bone apron which were used in Tibetan tantric practices.
