Summary

Description
English: House of Representatives Secretary General Mark Llandro Mendoza warmly received in a series of courtesy calls Tuesday, several incoming Members of the 19th Congress which is set to begin sessions on July 25, 2022. They were Caloocan Rep. Mary Mitzi Cajayon-Uy, Palawan Rep. Jose Alvarez, Oriental Mindoro Rep. Arnan Panaligan, and Anakalusugan Party-list Rep. Ray Florence Reyes. Mendoza personally distributed the briefing kits and lapel pins to them, as well as quickly apprised them of the ins and outs of Congress. “The Secretariat will always be there to support them and assist them. Nandyan naman yung bill drafting service natin,” he assured. Meanwhile, the Secretariat organized a One-Stop Shop, in which the incoming House Members and their staff can meet with representatives from different House departments for all their queries or requests. To better equip the lawmakers, Mendoza said that a three-day orientation would be held in partnership with the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG). Along with resource speakers from the UP-NCPAG, the incoming legislators can also expect help and guidance from former House Members, who would be invited to discuss in depth various legislative and administrative matters.
